To all of you who listened to us through the years:
Thank you! We always appreciated the thought and time people gave us and our music. There’s so much music in the world, and it meant a lot that we were able to share and be a part of the musical-emotional world of so many people.
Arizona is on an indefinite hiatus. Creative and philosophical differences sparked an amicable split – all of us care very much about each other and making music – and we’ll all continue to make music. We put our hearts into the music we made as Arizona, and as of now this is the best way to make sure that the people who enjoyed Arizona get to hear as much from us as possible. We’re now working as the following two bands:
New Beard - www.myspace.com/newbeard
WAGES - www.myspace.com/wageswages
Thanks again, so much.
Love,
AZ
The title says it all. James and I will be playing as part of Electric Owls at the Bobo Gallery here in Asheville on Sunday. It will be a fun show highlighting a wonderful cast of local “indie rock” talent (does anyone have suggestions for a replacement of that title “indie rock” - i’m searching and want to find). Some new songs and some old from the brain of Andy Herod (THE Electric Owl) will be performed. Not sure yet what the cover is, but probably around $5. Also, Brooklyn band The Octagon will be playing.
Hope you all are doing well!

We only got one night to hang at CMJ this year unfortunately, but it was still awesome. Saw great shows by These United States, Blair, The Depreciation Guild, We Are Wolves, Zaza, and others around the LES. Saw some good friends and celebrated, etc. Can’t wait till next year! It’s like summer rock camp in the Fall.

We play at Fat Baby in Manhattan tonight (112 Rivington St, LES) as part of the Allover Booking CMJ showcase. We’re on at 11:45pm. It’s only $7 or free with a badge.

This Friday (Oct 23rd) at 10pm, MTV is premiering their new movie, My Super Psycho Sweet 16. In that movie you will be able to hear the music of both our band and of our friends Andy Herod (Electric Owls) and Ben Lovett. Our song “Diventa Blu” from Welcome Back Dear Children is the one you will be hearing!
Enjoy!

**Click here to hear our Daytrotter session!**
How kind of them! Sean and the crew over at Daytrotter are excellent, rockin’ people, and they were kind enough to have us by and then write such wonderful things about us - smiley emoticon!
In other news: (sorry that we’ve been out of touch for awhile) We have just begun work on new material and so have sort of disappeared from the normal world. We’ll be back as soon as possible, hopefully with a new record that rocks, or at least doesn’t suck! And then after that we hope to tour more with great bands and come to your town.

…to hit the road again. We’re traveling around the Midwest and the North-East. In between we’ll be playing our first Canadian gig ever in Toronto! That’ll be part of the NXNE festival… excellent line-up this year including the likes of the Black Lips, Matt & Kim, etc etc. It’ll be fun.
Keep an eye on the dates…. one or two more may show up on there.

We were honored to hang out again with Dodge and his crew, masterminds behind My Old Kentucky Blog, and now Laundromatinee. We did a live performance for them in a hair salon in Indianapolis, and they have hosted a video of the performance on the front page of their site. It was awesome of them to include us in the roster of amazing bands they’ve taped, so please stop by their site to support them and what they do, and hopefully you’ll enjoy the video as well!
Take care,
Nick
